Yaroslav Mykytovych Kornienko, doctor of technical sciences, professor, “Honored Worker of Public Education of Ukraine”, scientific head of the department, head of the scientific school of the department “Processes of heat and mass transfer in technological equipment of industrial Production”, founded in 1928.
Scientific interests: the study of heat-mass transfer processes in dynamic dispersed systems, using the example of dehydration and granulation and heterogeneous systems in a fluidized bed, is the developer of innovative production technology of a new generation of granulated organo-mineral fertilizers with a variable ratio of nutrients and stimulating substances, which are determined by soil and climate and agro-ecological conditions of the region of their application. For the first time, humic-organo-mineral fertilizers with a layered structure were obtained, in which organic nutrients were used for food industry waste (sunflower ash and bone meal).
Another scientific direction was the study of mass transfer in compressed conditions during baro-membrane experiments. In particular, the removal of sediment from the working surface of the membranes.
The next direction was the study of disk-gear extrusion processes.
He was the scientific supervisor of 5 PhD theses defended in these areas.
More than 280 scientific works have been published, including 1 textbook (in two volumes), 10 methodological manuals, 14 monographs, and 65 patents for inventions.
As the head of the subcommittee on the specialty 133 Industrial Mechanical Engineering of the Methodological Council of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine, which developed Higher Education Standards for three levels of higher education: bachelor’s, master’s, and doctors of philosophy.
He is the chairman of the scientific and methodical commission of the university in the specialty 133 Industrial mechanical engineering and the guarantor of the educational program of doctors of philosophy in the same specialty.
