At the department meeting, graduate student Yegor Trachuk presented the interim results of his dissertation research on hydrodynamic processes during the extrusion of polymers into disks.
The purpose of this work is to investigate the impact of the disk gap size, productivity, and frequency of rotation of the extruder working body on the quality of the polymer melt.

Physical and mathematical models for describing the disk extrusion process.


CFD modeling for material flow analysis in extruder work zones.
Analysis of production energy supply scenarios using renewable energy sources to reduce environmental impact.

This work not only improves production technologies but also contributes to the development of energy conservation in the chemical and oil refining industries, using alternative energy sources and energy-efficient processes.
